Jacob Hatfield, Lead Pastor
Jacob was born and raised around the Monticello, MN area and has a heart for the city of Monticello and the surrounding communities. He is married to Tiffany, and they have 4 handsome boys together.
Jacob studied Pastoral Ministry at Reformed Baptist Seminary and has enjoyed many years as a worship leader, pastor, and teacher. His desire is to make the gospel accessible to everyone through faithful preaching and faithful living. Jacob enjoys time with his family, trips to the North Shore, smoking meat, and spending time in God’s word.
Joey Dutcher, Associate Pastor
Joey is from the Chisago City area where he met his wife, Alex, and they began their family. He joined Grace Bible Church in 2023 as an associate pastor.
Joey has studied at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and served many years in the church. He loves the local church and desires to serve his brothers and sisters well. He enjoys reading, soccer, chess, and spending time with his family and friends.
Brad Hatfield, Lay Elder
Brad has been married to his high school sweetheart since 1974. He has four children and eleven grandchildren. He enjoys great times with family, especially near Lake Superior.
He enjoys the interaction created during the many men’s Bible studies he’s been a part of. Previously, he’s been involved in area churches and has gained a life changing love and appreciation for the truth of God’s Word.
Brian Johnson, Lay Elder
Brian has been married to his wife, Melissa, since 1996 and has one married child, one child at home and one in Heaven. His family is an important part of his life, but he also makes time for walking, fellowship and reading.
He enjoys the interaction and fellowship at men’s Bible studies and the community groups he’s been a part of. Previously, he’s been involved in various ministries and has a steadfast desire to continue learning and applying God's Word.
David Williams, Lay Elder
David has served at five churches over the last 30 years, working with children, youth and adult ministries. During his years of ministry, he has developed a love for all kinds of people. David enjoys being with people, helping educate them, and ministering to their emotional, spiritual, and practical needs. David has been married to his wife, Kris, for 32 years and has two married children and one child at home and is also a grandpa of two. His family is an important part of his life, but he also makes time for woodworking and blacksmithing.
Chris Baumler, Lay Elder
Chris was a transplant to the Monticello area in 2016 when he married his wife Krista. They currently live in Big Lake with their 2 children. Chris works as a software engineer for a company in downtown Minneapolis and enjoys being with family and friends, reading, and gardening in his spare time.
Chris has served in various roles within the church, and joined Grace Bible church as part of the planting team. He loves studying God’s Word with others and desires to glorify God by faithfully teaching and living out the gospel.
Josh Bauder, Worship Director
Josh grew up in the Minneapolis area and has been involved in church music since childhood. He earned his PhD in music composition from the University of Minnesota in 2018, and he now teaches at the University of Northwestern and the University of St. Thomas.
Josh is delighted to help facilitate congregational worship at Grace Bible Church. In his free time, he enjoys reading and fellowshipping with friends.
Adam Woytcke, Deacon of Finance
Adam grew up in Monticello and recently moved back to the area with his wife, Jocelyn. He went to college in Wisconsin and now works as an engineer at a small company in the Minneapolis suburbs.
Adam is grateful for the opportunity to serve Grace Bible Church in this role. Outside of his adult responsibilities, he can frequently be found playing sports, doing something outdoors, reading, or laughing with family and friends.
Jon Kleven, Deacon of Facilities
Jon calls Big Lake home and is married to his wife Lisa. He has two adult children and five grandchildren. He is happy to serve at GBC as the deacon of facilities. In his free time he enjoys fishing, working with his hands, and spending time with his family and church family.

Karsten William, Deacon of Worship
Karsten was born and raised in Monticello, where he has lived almost all his life. He is married to Katie and has a baby girl. He currently works at Minnesota Pools as a foreman, building concrete pools.
Karsten is happy to be in a position to help meet the needs of the church and keep things running smoothly on Sunday mornings. Some other things that keep him busy are spending time with family and occasionally a woodworking project.
